Here is a little clip from the 4th grade recorder concert last night. Evan did a very good job and was so focused. He has said he would like to try the trumpet in middle school band. Evan is on the front row in a navy blue striped polo.

Easter 2012

Between being with family, hunting for easter eggs, enjoying yummy food, receiving awesome Easter baskets, and finding annual scavenger hunt prizes from Aunt Carver, everyone had a wonderful Easter!

River trip over Easter Break

We enjoyed a few days at the river over Easter vacation...Andrew, Claire and Cindy joined us. The kids all had a great time exploring and just being together. They kayaked, rode dirt bikes, snail hunted, built mud castles, caught some of the biggest fish I have ever seen come out of that river in my whole life, watched bald eagles and much more! We had a nice dinner out in Kilmarnock at Anna's Pizzaria.

Gunston Hall Plantation

The students in Evan's 4th grade class were all assigned a Virginia Plantation home to research and make a replica of.
Evan had Gunston Hall, located in Mason Neck, VA. This was the home of George Mason. He learned a lot about the home as well as the original owner and would like to visit the plantation this summer. He worked very hard on building his replica and was very proud of the finished product.

Girl Scout International Fair

Anna and I had the pleasure of attending this year's Girl Scout International Fair at the Rockingham County Fairgrounds. What fun we had learning about different countries around the world. Her troop represented India and did a great job with their booth.

Items were sold at each booth for a dime a piece.
