More snow fun!

Last week's snow storm brought around 9 inches to our area. Evan was off sledding and snow boarding with his neighbor buds (even on the day it was coming down), therefore I don't have any pics of him. Anna, Finley and I had fun playing around the house. We did venture over to the BIG hill for a few times down on our tobaggan. I did not have my camera with me though!

Daisy Pinning Ceremony

Anna has decided to try Daisy Scouting...it is the beginning of Girl Scouts for Kindergarten and First grade students. Brownies is the next step. She was pinned last night at a Pot Luck dinner/pinning ceremony. She is very excited to earn Daisy Petals for different things.

we all had a great time doing this. There was no crowd at all, an advantage of going mid week during the day! We rode down dozens of times. When you hook together, you go very fast so the kids preferred this method. Right before we left at 6:00, a huge full moon popped out over the mountain, it was so beautiful!

Bike Riding Video

Here is a short video of the kids riding their bikes. Anna is still working on the uphill thing. She has no problem going down our driveway but coming back up is harder even though it is not that much of a hill!

Here they are after church riding their bikes. Anna's bike is new from Santa...Evan wants to teach her how to ride 2 wheel so badly but she says she is not quite ready!

I somehow managed to capture this adorable footage of Anna making the first basket for her team. Afterward, she was unsure of what to do. We were so proud and so was she!

Upward Basketball Game 1

The kids are both playing basketball this winter thru the Upward Basketball program- a Christian based basketball ministry. Evan played last season and asked to play again...Anna also wanted to try it. They had their first game this past Saturday. Evan's team played a great game with a score of 16-18...they lost but Evan scored 12 of those 16 points! They earn stars each week and he earned the star for Offense. Anna's team also played well...they really don't keep score at the KG level. She did score the first basket earning her team 2 points though! It was adorable...be sure to check the videos out... I managed to capture her making the basket.

New Year's Eve at the Arnold's house

Celebrating with the Arnold family and the Voeks family on New Year's Eve. Kids and adults had a blast being together, setting off Pop-Its, eating a yummy dinner, toasting the new year, and more...

Christmas Afternoon in Richmond...

We arrived in Richmond around 1:00 or so and had lunch. After that, the kids got busy opening gifts. We had a fun day and will never forget that we had a WHITE CHRISTMAS! It started snowing sometime in the afternoon and snowed pretty much the whole next day too! It was so pretty.

Christmas Morning...

The kids woke us up around 6:30 on Christmas morning...they were both very excited to see what Santa had left. Anna got a new bike and a horse for her American Girl dolls. Evan got the Siege Caster Scooter and the Stampede Nerf Gun. Some other hits were a tackle box filled with all kinds of fishing gear, the nerf tactical vest, and the Mermaid Castle from My Little Pony.
