Christmas Eve

Santa comes to our house! Look at all the loot...The kids are opening a gift from each other. Evan painted a horse picture for Anna and Anna colored in a VT logo for Evan. They also gave each other a gift from the school holiday shop. Evan gave Anna a blue fairy doll and Anna gave Evan a small handheld PinBall game. The books were a gift from us.

Getting ready to leave for the Christmas Eve Church service. The kids are VERY excited...even though Evan is not smiling. He claims he didn't know when the camera was going to "click."

Playing at the Discovery Museum

Christmas Cookie Baking and Decorating

Here is Anna really concentrating (notice her tongue) on making her cookies just right for Santa Claus.

Evan and Anna making Christmas cookies for Santa Claus...they really had a good time doing this and look forward to leaving a plate out for Santa!

Christmas with the Masons

Here are the kids all decked out in their Christmas attire ready for a yummy Christmas brunch at the Waynesboro Country Club.

Siena enjoying some dress up time before leaving for Christmas Brunch...

Watching some good old Christmas classics...The Grinch and A Charlie Brown Christmas. The kids were adorable!

Napping must be a "Mason" thing...here is Uncle Ken and Finley napping after all that present opening.

Present opening time! Yippee!

Christmas with the Masons

Evan and Anna are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Nan-ee, Uncle Ken, Aunt Tara and Cousin Siena to celebrate an early Christmas with them! They were so excited last night, they hardly slept at all...I wonder what will happen on the real Christmas Eve??

Snow Day!

We had a snow storm that dropped about 3 inches today...kids were home from school and enjoyed some fun time outside. We headed inside for hot cocoa to warm up...the kids love their new thermal underwear!

Church Christmas program

Here are Evan and Anna singing with their choirs at the Wednesday night Christmas program. They both did a great job and sounded very good. We are so proud of them!

Here is Evan taking his turn...

The Bucking Bronco

Here we are "relaxing" after our busy day yesterday! The kids love it when Rob gives them a ride on the Bucking Bronco!

Our 2010 Christmas Tree

In addition to creating the Gingerbread Village and putting out the train, we also managed to squeeze in getting our Christmas tree at a local farm and decorating it! We had a very busy day but lots of fun!

Christmas Train Table

The kids helped Rob set up the train table today...another annual Christmas tradition. They give him an accessory every year for Christmas. Last year's addition was the church. This year's addition is a secret. Some accessories include an airport, a farmhouse, a train station, a hunter's cabin, a firehouse, a burning building, a gas station/mechanics shop, a car dealership, a fishing cabin, a barn and a water tower.

Our Gingerbread Village

Our miniature gingerbread village complete with a skating pond and sled. Hours and hours of work but much fun...

These are the individual buildings that make up our Gingerbread Village. We worked on it today for 5 hours! Whew...is all I can say. Evan did the Chalet and the Toy shop, Anna did the Candy shop and the Santa's House. I did the Bakery and pond. We all had fun and ate WAY too much candy in the process.

Anna's Thanksgiving Day Feast

Anna's Kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast...she ate the cake and that was about it! The two little girls she is sitting with are Sarah and Cynthia.

Halloween Spectacular

We attended our church's annual "Trunk or Treat" this year. Evan dressed up as Indiana Jones and Anna was a Pop Diva Cowgirl. As we found out upon arriving, church members go all out decorating the trunk of their car...we will know for next year (didn't get the memo this year). Good friends of ours did the Mystery Machine and our SS teacher and his wife did The Emerald City. There were many more great ones but my batteries ran out! The kids had a blast going from trunk to trunk getting treats. Then we came home and they went to a few houses in the neighborhood!
